[Audiere-users] Supported MP3 formats?

Hello,

I have a question about MP3 support in Audiere. I've been trying to
load a mp3 sample in my application, but with limited success. At
first it wouldn't load at all. Then I re-saved it as mono but then it
would play too fast. After a few attempts, I discovered that stereo in
128 kbits was the only format that sounded as it should.

My question is, since I'm interested in a small file rather than good
sound quality, is there a list somewhere about supported mp3 formats
in Audiere?

Hi Jens,

Are you using Audiere from CVS or 1.9.3? I didn't realize that some
MP3 formats didn't work, but I do know Matt Campbell upgraded the MP3
library so it's possible that one would work.

I am using 1.9.3. I tried downloading the source snapshot but I wasn't able to
compile it (can't say I made such an exhausting attempt though).
